Read this before entering a paid Challenge. Strat offers skill-based running Challenges. The operator sponsors every Challenge shown in the current app. You pay a disclosed Stake and Service Fee to enter. You qualify for a share of the Stake pool only by completing every required day. Missing a day does not create a new charge, but it means you do not qualify for the pool and your Stake remains in it for the qualifying finishers.
Paid Challenges involve financial and physical risk. Enter only with money you can afford to lose and never continue exercising through injury.
Strat (the “Service”) is operated by Normann Jungbauer, a sole trader established in Austria (“Strat”, “we”, “us”). The operator, and not an app user, creates, sponsors, administers and is responsible for every Challenge available in the current app.

Whop processes entry payments and payouts on hosted pages. Strat is not a bank, savings product, investment service or money transmitter. Balances do not earn interest and are not deposit-insured.
The server enforces the age declaration, accepted document versions and country allowlist. Strat may request identity or location verification before entry or payout. If paid Challenges are disabled in your region, you may still access non-monetary parts of the Service where available.
Account creation uses Sign in with Apple. Before an account is created, the app asks you to accept the current Terms and Privacy Policy, confirm that you meet the minimum age and select your country. Your acceptance, document versions, country and time are recorded to protect both you and other participants.
One person may control one account. You are responsible for activity under your account and must contact support promptly if access may have been compromised. Promotional credit is separate from Cash Balance: it can be used only where the app says so and cannot be withdrawn.
Each Challenge detail and confirmation screen forms part of these Official Rules. Before entry it states the sponsor, title, Stake, Service Fee, total due, pricing model, daily distance, start and end dates, join deadline, verification mode, minimum participants and projected pool. Those terms are stored with the Challenge and cannot be changed retrospectively after someone enters.
Results depend on verified personal athletic effort, not a drawing, random number, odds, an opponent selected by the user or the performance of a third party. There is no guaranteed profit or payout.
For new Challenges the default model is Upfront Fee:
The current Stake range is USD 20–1,000. Exact values served by the API and shown on the confirmation screen control if they differ from this page. A user is never charged an amount that was not confirmed.
Some Challenges entered before the switch may carry a frozen Forfeit Share model. Under that legacy model every finisher first receives their own Stake; the confirmation screen states the immutable percentage of non-finishers’ Stakes distributed to finishers and retained by Strat. No change to current defaults alters an existing entry.
If no participant qualifies, there is no winner to receive the pool. For a new Upfront Fee Challenge, each participant's Stake is returned to the same Cash or Promotional balance from which it was debited; the separately paid Service Fee remains earned because the Challenge ran. A legacy Challenge may have a different frozen zero-winner rule, which its Challenge-specific screen states before entry. The Service Fee pays for operating, payment, payout, verification, fraud-prevention and support services and is not part of the pool.
The Challenge screen identifies its automatic verification mode. In every case, manual review remains available without granting an iOS permission:
The server checks duration, speed, route plausibility, GPS accuracy, step and distance consistency, overlapping activity, daily limits, source metadata and device integrity. Negative accuracy, simulated locations, impossible timing, manual activity and duplicated or overlapping submissions are rejected.
Health, Location and Motion permissions are optional. If you deny or revoke them, you may use manual review instead. A manual claim is not guaranteed to be approved and may require reasonable follow-up information that does not force access to a protected iOS data source. A verified widespread failure may cause Strat to void the same day for every affected participant or cancel and refund the affected Challenge.
You may leave at any time. Leaving or missing a day ends prize eligibility; your Stake remains in the pool and the Service Fee is not refunded. The app shows this consequence for confirmation.
If Strat cancels a Challenge before it begins, the debited Stake and all upfront Service or other entry fees are returned to the same Cash or Promotional balance from which they came. Where mandatory consumer law requires an additional refund, that law controls.
Duplicate payments, incorrect amounts and verified technical payment errors are corrected to the original payment method or balance. Contact support before initiating a chargeback so the payment can be traced.
Settlement starts only after the final calendar day has ended for every participant and all result checks are complete. Ledger and settlement keys make retries idempotent; a participant cannot receive the same prize twice.
Cash Balance may be withdrawn through a Whop payout method after any required identity, fraud, sanctions, tax and provider checks. Current limits are shown in the Wallet before submission: minimum USD 25; maximum USD 500 per rolling 24 hours and USD 2,000 per rolling seven days; no more than three requests per 24 hours. Provider method and currency-conversion fees may apply and are shown by Whop.
A pending or indeterminate provider response remains pending until reconciled; it is not automatically returned to spendable balance merely because a network request timed out. Taxes and declarations remain your responsibility except where Strat is legally required to report or withhold.
You must not falsify activity, use vehicles or mechanical aids, spoof GPS, submit another person’s effort, manipulate Apple Health, operate coordinated or multiple accounts, exploit defects, launder funds, harass others, impersonate a person, publish private information, or use an offensive, hateful, sexual, threatening or infringing public handle.
Public handles and profiles can be reported in the app. Users can block other users, and blocked profiles are hidden from their community surfaces. Strat may filter, rename or remove content, investigate reports, disqualify affected entries, reverse fraud-linked amounts and suspend accounts. Legitimate unrelated Cash Balance is not confiscated as punishment.
Report a result dispute within 14 days after the Challenge ends and identify the Challenge, day and device record. Strat reviews the server-side evidence and responds with the decision and reason. Financial records and evidence relevant to an active dispute may be retained until it is resolved.
A payment dispute or chargeback may place the related amount and account under review. A successful reversal may be deducted only from balances or prizes funded by that payment, subject to mandatory law.
You can initiate permanent account deletion in the app’s Profile settings. The app explains the consequences and requires explicit confirmation. Active entries and pending financial operations are shown before confirmation. You may resolve them first or choose deletion now. Deleting now withdraws you from an active Challenge and forfeits that Stake under the same rule as leaving; a pending payment or payout is retained in a restricted reconciliation record so it cannot alter another participant’s pool or be paid twice.
On closure, sessions and sign-in links are revoked, public profile fields are anonymised, notification data and raw location data are deleted on the documented schedule, and data without a retention duty is erased. Financial, tax, fraud-prevention, dispute and unclaimed-property records may be retained in an anonymised or access-restricted form for the periods stated in the Privacy Policy. Promotional credit is forfeited; legitimate Cash Balance remains subject to payout and unclaimed-property law.
Strat is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical advice. Running long distances or on consecutive days can cause injury. Choose a goal appropriate to your health, consult a professional where appropriate, stop if you experience pain, dizziness or warning symptoms, and never risk injury to protect an entry fee.
Apple Inc. does not sponsor, endorse or administer Strat or any Challenge. Apple provides no prize and is not involved in any Challenge. These Terms are between you and the operator, not Apple. The operator is responsible for the Service, support, legal compliance and claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it.
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for intentional misconduct, fraud, or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, total liability is limited to the greater of amounts you paid to Strat in the preceding twelve months or USD 100. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Strat is not responsible for failures outside its reasonable control, such as device, network, Apple Health or payment-provider outages, except where Strat failed to exercise legally required care.
Material changes are announced before taking effect and require renewed acceptance where required. No new term, fee, pool percentage or verification rule applies retrospectively to a Challenge already entered. The immutable terms recorded for that entry continue through settlement.
These Terms are governed by Austrian law. Consumers retain mandatory rights of their country of residence and may use the courts and recognised alternative dispute-resolution bodies available under that law. The discontinued EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is not offered as a remedy.
